Hi, I’m Chloë, a menstrual cycle coach.

What is a menstrual cycle coach?

“What do you actually do as a menstrual cycle coach?!” Perhaps unsurprisingly, I get this question quite a lot! Let me explain…

You’ve probably heard of other types of coaches such as career coaches. A menstrual cycle coach works in a similar way by helping people to create goals, learn new skills and concepts, gain insights about themselves, and identify strengths and improvements through gentle guidance but for a different topic - the menstrual cycle.

A menstrual cycle coach uses the guiding principles of menstrual cycle awareness - knowing where you are in your cycle, tuning into what this means for you physically, mentally and emotionally, and using this knowledge to live in a way that supports your mind and body - in order to help people reach a better understanding of their unique needs. Together, we can identify your menstrual cycle powers and vulnerabilities, plan how you can make the most of those powers, and explore how you can show more love and understanding towards the vulnerabilities.

The proportion of time devoted to educating and the proportion spent coaching will vary client to client and session to session. Sometimes, more of a session will be devoted to ensuring that a client understands a process, framework or topic. Other times, the client will do most of the talking, exploring issues, insights and potential solutions through the carefully-crafted questions from their coach.

What can a menstrual cycle coach help me with?

  • Providing a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, beliefs and understandings of your menstrual cycle.

  • Teaching you the different ways to track your cycle and helping you find the best way for you, whatever your needs and time restraints.

  • Educating you on the menstrual cycle and sharing frameworks such as the inner seasons framework as a way to better understand the four phases of the menstrual cycle and what you can expect in each.

  • Helping you identify patterns in your menstrual cycle experience and reach a deeper connection with your cycle.

  • Supporting you to understand how lifestyle factors can impact your menstrual cycle and what you can do to support your unique cyclical needs in the best possible way for you.

What can a menstrual cycle coach not help me with?

  • Providing medical advice or performing the role of a therapist.

  • “Fixing” your cycle. While we can definitely discuss changes which can have a positive impact on your menstrual cycle, coaching cannot guarantee any improvement in menstrual cycle issues or conditions.

  • Setting goals or intentions for you - coaching is about empowering you to come up with your own goals! Of course, I can help you to craft the perfect goal but the initial intention should come from you. You will be much more commited to a goal you have thought of yourself than one provided to you.
